Badrinath Temple closes in mid-to-late November each year. For 2026, the expected closing date is 20 November 2026. After closing, the Utsav Murti of Lord Badrivishal is taken to Pandukeshwar near Joshimath, where it resides and is worshipped by devotees during the winter months. The exact date is confirmed by the BKTC closer to the closing ceremony.
