Yes, registration is mandatory for all pilgrims visiting Char Dham (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath). You must carry your registration slip/e-pass throughout the journey.

Q. Can I register at the registration centers directly?

Yes, offline registration centers are set up at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, and near the base camps of each Dham. However, online registration in advance is highly recommended to secure your preferred dates.

Q. What is the daily pilgrim limit at each Dham?

Yamunotri: 7,000 | Gangotri: 8,000 | Kedarnath: 12,000 | Badrinath: 15,000 pilgrims per day. These limits are to ensure safety and orderly darshan.

Q. Is there a medical fitness requirement?

Pilgrims above 60 years and those with chronic heart/lung/blood pressure conditions must produce a medical fitness certificate from a registered doctor. Free health check-up camps are set up at Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Q. Can foreign nationals register for Char Dham Yatra?

Yes, foreign nationals can register with their passport number. They need to carry a copy of their valid passport and visa.
